There are over 250 incorruptible bodies of dead saints throughout the history of the Catholic Church. This is beyond scientific explanation. Skeptics have tried to explain this away by saying that these bodies were buried in cool, dry places. But these bodies were buried in all sorts of places, some were very damp and wet. And the other bodies that were next to these saintly bodies did decay.

The picture above is an example of how a body was preserved perfectly. This is the body of St. Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes. In the 19 century, as a child, she saw an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our Lady commanded her to dig in the ground with her hands. A spring of water gushed out the hole. There is now an immense lake. People have come from all over the world to visit Lourdes and there have been many documented healings there.  She died in 1879 at the age of 35. As you can see from the picture she has not decayed at all. If you wish, you can go to Nevers, France and visit the Chapel of Saint Bernadette yourself to verify this.

The above is a picture of the body of Saint Catherine Labourie. She lived for 70 years, and died in 1876. So she has been dead or about a century and a half, but yet her body looks as if she just died. You can still view body at Rue de Bac 140 in Paris, France.

This is the body of St. Clair of Assisi. She died in the year 1253. So for almost 800 years her body has not decayed.

St Francis Xavier lived in the 16 century. He died in 1552 – 500 years ago. And as you can see, his body has still not decayed!

This is St. Maria Goretti. When she was about 12, an older boy tried to rape her. She resisted and she was stabbed multiple times. As she was dying, she said she forgave her killer. She prayed that her killer would make it to heaven.  She died in the year 1902. Her body, still without any decay,  is at the Our Lady Of Mercy Church in Nettuno, Italy.

Blessed Imelda Labertini died as a youg girl in 1333. Her body can be viewed at the Church of San Sigimondo, Italy. As you can see, her body has not decayed.

For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.

Psalm 16:10

This is a literal fulfillment of God’s promise in the Bible. God will not allow His holy ones (saints) to undergo decay. These bodies can be viewed today. Anyone can go to these churches or crypts to view the bodies. This is verifiable evidence that Christianity is true. Not only that, but these are all Catholic saints. Although there are many men and women of God in Protestant churches, I have not heard of an incorruptible Protestant body. And I never heard of an incorruptible body of someone from any other religion.
